English: Masonic Hall, Hawarden. Formerly the Boys Elementary School, built in 1834, the building was taken over by the Masons in 1912. After some internal alterations were carried out they convened their first meeting on 27th January 1913 and a plaque on the prominent chimney carries that date. On the north east corner of the building there is a First Geodetic Levelling bench mark that dates to the period 1851-52 - see 1479568
