Current status: Former featured article, current good article

Abnormality[edit]

It's abnormal that Jupiter, with its diverse array of characteristics, has not yet attained the status of a featured article. Bennett1203 (talk) 01:25, 14 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]

It has achieved the status of featured article, but was subsequently WP:FARC-ed. I suggest reading the review from the last FAC review for suggestions on how to improve it. Praemonitus (talk) 02:43, 14 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]

'Snowline' needs explanation[edit]

In the paragraph beginning "Based on Jupiter's composition..." the terms 'molecular nitrogen snowline' and 'argon snowline' are mentioned without any explanation or link to another article. I'm very interested in astronomy but not an astronomer - I have no idea what it means and I suppose most readers would not know the term either. It would be great if someone could expand on it - I'm excited to learn more about the concept of 'snowlines' in astronomy and planetary formation. Thanks in advance, Flusapochterasumesch (talk) 12:37, 7 June 2024 (UTC)[reply]

that's probably Frost line (astrophysics). Artem.G (talk) 12:48, 7 June 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks Artem. I've changed the two instances of 'snowline' to 'snow line' (to match a pre-existing instance of 'snow line' in this article, and to match the 'frost line'/'snow line' article. I've also linked these two instances of 'snow line' to the relevant article. Flusapochterasumesch (talk) 20:31, 7 June 2024 (UTC)[reply]
