Via thorough browsing of the 2024 deaths category, I’ve found the following are marked as deceased and needing of proper citation. Rusted AutoParts 13:19, 9 March 2024 (UTC)

- I don't see TimesNowNews as a reputable reliable source. A much better source would be The Guardian, but for me his inclusion would be a dubious, one-trick notability magnified only by his death. (Widespread internet reports of his death do not assert an automatic notability for him.) The pig kidney transplant first has not so far been seen as worthy of having its own event article, so there's currently nothing to redirect to from an entry. Not being done by me, but others may disagree and include it. Thanks. Ref (chew)(do) 18:34, 12 May 2024 (UTC)
For what it's worth, someone has published a direct article on the person and made an entry into the Deaths page, though I don't see the person article remaining permanently somehow. Thanks. Ref (chew)(do) 15:17, 17 May 2024 (UTC)
- Hello all. I think this is his obituary here. It doesn't tell much but what makes me think it's him the obituary said he was a Relocation Supervisor for the Mass Department of Transportation, that is very close to a statement on his wikipedia article. --Danielvis08 (talk) 16:07, 18 May 2024 (UTC)
Canadian retirement AND questionable claims of compound surnames[edit]
Arthur Irving is being shown as chairman of Irving Oil "since 1992". The company's website announced his death referring to him as "Chairman Emeritus" and a source linked in his article indicates that he stepped down as substantive chairman in October 2023.
I note that someone re-alphabetized Mary Wells Lawrence from "Lawrence" to "Wells" and a while back the listing on the death of Mary Higgins Clark was moved from "Clark" to "Higgins". While Wells Rich Greene was founded before Mary Wells married Harding Lawrence, both women used their husbands' surnames and I don't think they claimed compound surnames...does any "alpha by author" catalogue list Mrs. Clark under "H"?71.105.190.227 (talk) 07:50, 16 May 2024 (UTC)
Dabney Coleman[edit]
I don't think it is appropriate to list Dabney Coleman for now. The original source announcing it is now deleted, the only other currently existing source is Local 12, who are really only reporting on a report, phrasing it as "reportedly passed away". It feels safe to assume they are reporting on the deleted Extra report, or the surrounding social media discussion from people reacting to it. Rusted AutoParts 21:11, 17 May 2024 (UTC)
- Yeah he passed according to a statement by his daughter through TMZ. Source: TMZ TDKR Chicago 101 (talk) 21:30, 17 May 2024 (UTC)
- @TDKR Chicago 101 Hollywood reporter has obit. DarkStarHarry (talk) 21:43, 17 May 2024 (UTC)
My father[edit]
I hate addressing this, but my dad is 74 years old. He has an article here. But when he passes-and I hope he won't in decades-, its not likely that it will come out on any news outlet, at least not right away. In that case, would I be a "reliable source"?
