No need to mention Alexa Internet[edit]
Alexa Internet discontinued in 2022. It is now defunct. So, there is no need to mention it in the (Top) section. It should be removed. Thank you for understanding. 103.38.208.61 (talk) 14:15, 18 December 2023 (UTC)
- Absolutely correct. There is no need to mention Alexa Internet. This website is now defunct. It discontinued in 2022. I also think it should be removed from (Top). Thank you. 114.130.156.201 (talk) 20:41, 20 December 2023 (UTC)
- Alexa Internet is no longer mentioned in the "Short description". Thank you. Glad to contribute to Wikipedia. AimanAbir18plus (talk) 15:32, 22 January 2024 (UTC)
Content removal from this page[edit]
- @GrowTHC: You've removed reliably-sourced content from this page several times now, despite various warnings by different editors asking you to stop. Please explain your edits here before edit warring again. Missjaenna (talk) 03:16, 15 February 2024 (UTC)
Fandom hyperlink is of fandom the noun (wiki/Fandom), not fandom the website (wiki/Fandom_(website))[edit]
i imagine it'd make more sense for it to link to the wikipedia page of the website since the entry is of the website

Unclear sentence[edit]
"This list does not factor subpages that use the same domain as the parent site."
Hard to understand this. What does "factor" mean? Can a clearer word be used? What are "subpages that use the same domain as the parent site"? Can an example be given? To me, it would seem as if "https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_most-visited_websites" is a "subpage" that uses the same domain as "wikipedia.org", and so would not be "factored", but that would make a nonsense of all the stats, wouldn't it? So what DOES it mean? Thanks. 2A00:23C8:7B0C:9A01:543C:A619:5528:AB57 (talk) 15:47, 26 March 2024 (UTC)
- It just occurred to me ... is it just saying that stats for "subpages" are not split out separately but are all lumped together under the main domain name, so e.g. all hits on "https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_most-visited_websites" are counted as "wikipedia.org". Is that what it means? If so, gotta be a better way of explaining it. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 2A00:23C8:7B0C:9A01:543C:A619:5528:AB57 (talk) 15:54, 26 March 2024 (UTC)
- It means although google
.com is listed as the most-visited website, it technically includes all pages hosted on the google.com domain, including mail .google .com, google .com /maps, translate .google .com, docs .google .com, etc. Similarly, youtube .com also includes tv .youtube .com, music .youtube .com, etc. InfiniteNexus (talk) 05:12, 28 March 2024 (UTC)
